Born on November 18, 1949, in Kingstree, South Carolina, Ann was the daughter of the late Jackie Floyd Wall and George Allen Wall, Sr.
Her life was marked by a deep commitment to caring for others—a calling she fulfilled through a distinguished career in nursing. Ann began her professional journey as a hospital nurse, where her compassion and dedication quickly became evident. She later transitioned into teaching nursing, sharing her knowledge and inspiring future generations of caregivers. Her career culminated at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), where she served as Nursing Director. Ann found great fulfillment in public health and took immense pride in her work at DHEC, where she made lasting contributions to the well-being of communities across the state.
Ann’s warmth extended far beyond her professional life. She was the kindest, most caring, and loving wife, stepmother, Mimi, and aunt roles she cherished deeply. Her family remembers her as a gentle presence whose love and support enriched their lives immeasurably.
She is survived by her loving husband Ben Lee; two stepdaughters, Christie Lee and Ashley Lee McClellan (Bobby); a granddaughter, Elizabeth Lee; two brothers, Allen Wall (Renee) and Timmy Wall (Mary); nieces Betsy McKenzie (Wayne), Chrissie Wall, and Brooke Wall; nephews Adam Wall (Maggie) and Alex Wall (TK), as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who were blessed to know her love. Her nephew Jake Wall preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 503 N. Lake Dr., Lexington, SC.
