Kathy retired from the Department of Defense AAFES Security and moved to South Carolina after her retirement to live close to her daughter, Donna, and grandchildren.
Our mother is forever in our hearts. She loved her work, shopping, listening to country music, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Ryleigh and Ridge. She traveled the world, lived life to the fullest, and touched the lives of many. She was “Simply the Best.” To know her was to love her.
She is survived by her three children: Shirley, Donna, and Franklin; six grandchildren: Sarah, Noah, David Allen, Tyler, Christian, and Trinity; five great grandchildren: Ryleigh, Ridge, Hunter, Alara, and Bentley; sisters: Wilma, Geraldine, and Gwindola, and we cannot forget her future son-in-law, Chris Cornell, who she loved and adored.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for Kathy in September with family and friends.
