Kirk Dale Flowers, 61, died April 25, 2022, in his home in West Columbia, South Carolina. He was born and raised in Cayce, South Carolina. He graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School in 1978. He attended the University of South Carolina and Midlands Technical College. He worked for many years in the private security industry at the SC State Museum and the SC State Capitol.
He will always be remembered for being such a kind-hearted soul with a quick wit. He was a major history buff and loved to watch old TV shows and movies. He could talk for hours about the lives of past presidents and actors from the last century. He was a true collector of things because everything had sentimental value and because it reminded him of the family members he loved.
He was a Master Mason and was raised by his father, Ray E. Flowers at Richland Masonic Lodge No. 9 in Columbia, SC. He lived the life principles of a Freemason with belief in God, caring for others, honesty and working hard. He was an amazing companion to both his parents supporting them at the end of their lives.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph E. Flowers; sister, Denise Flowers Price (Scott); brother, Lynn K. Flowers (Anja); niece, Adrianne Flowers; nephew, Andrew Flowers and niece, Sophia Flowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray E. Flowers and Betty W. Flowers of Cayce, SC.
Arrangements are with the Caughman-Harmann Funeral Home and he was laid to rest at the Southland Memorial Gardens, West Columbia, South Carolina.
