LEXINGTON – Leoda McLellan Quick, 90, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1715 Broad River Road in Columbia, SC 29210 on Saturday, August 23 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends in the Gathering Room at Westminster, at 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral. Burial will be at a later date in the Quick Cemetery in Clio, SC. Services will be conducted by Rev. George Head and Rev. Fran Bragan.
Born May 23, 1924 in Dillon County, Ms. Quick was the daughter of the late Malcolm R. McLellan and Mary Theresa McLellan. A former member of the Clio Presbyterian Church, Ms. Quick served as an elder and was active in many activities of the church. She joined Westminster Presbyterian Church after moving to Columbia in 1999.
Ms. Quick is survived by her three daughters, Joyce Hindman (Bill) of Raleigh, NC, Mary Pugh Ammons of Lexington, SC and Betty Northam (David) of Lexington, SC, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, her sister, Avis Preston, brother, Clifford McLellan and her son-in-law, Rusty Ammons.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Columbia Presbyterian Community and the Tri-County Hospice Association for their care, love and compassion.
