He was a man of deep faith, unwavering love for his family, and a quiet joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was a devoted member of his church, where he found strength and fellowship. A true family man, he cherished every moment with those he loved. While his greatest joy was his relationship with Jesus, he also found deep happiness in spending time on Lake Murray, where he fished and enjoyed boating throughout his life. He enjoyed the peace of gardening, the camaraderie of golfing with friends, and making memories at the beach and in the mountains with his family. His life was a beautiful reflection of faith, love, and the joy of a life well lived in service to God and those he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Geri, and their four children: Lester H. “Bucky” Hood Jr.; Mark A. Hood; Pamela H. “Pam” Killman (Andy); and Stephen A. “Steve” Hood.
