My mom, Linda, was the kindest, sweetest, and most loving person to her family, friends, and people she just met on the street. She never met a stranger, and she always was there to brighten your day with her smile and a kind word.
She is survived by her son, David Rogers and his wife, Michelle Rogers; two grandchildren, Austin Rogers and Morgan Rogers; her beloved great-granddaughter, Lainey Rogers; and Austin's wife, Heather Rogers, who she thought of as her "special" granddaughter.
Linda is also survived by her two sisters, Dotty and Laura and her sister-in-law, Peggy. She was predeceased by her mother, father, and brother, Harry who she is now in heaven with catching up with on old times.
My mom enjoyed 20 years with her special work family at Ed Financial in Knoxville, TN, where she kept a piece of each one of them in her heart even after she retired. Everyone there made her feel so loved and I am personally grateful for each and every one of them. She talked about all of you with the fondest memories.
As many people know, my mom was a very private person so we will not be holding any services, but next time you see a butterfly, just know it is my mom coming to say hello and give you a special hug.
I will miss you mom; I love you very much - your son, David.
