

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Lucy “Lavie” Lee Hallman, 71, of Lexington will be held at 2:00pm Friday, December 22, 2017 at Brookland United Methodist Church in West Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. The family visitation will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 at her daughter, Deana’s home, 178 Baskin Hills Road, Lexington, SC from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Lavie enjoyed baking, crocheting and traveling. She was active in the Prayer Shawl Ministry, the Faithful Friends Circle, and bereavement meal committee. She helped feed 125 homeless people weekly; she also enjoyed square dancing and shagging. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was always helping others. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.C. & Lucy Lee.
She was predeceased by her daughter Tammie Hallman Lanford and her brothers, Herbert “Buttons” Lee and Bernie Lee. She is survived by her daughter Deana Sanderson (James) of Lexington; son-in-law David Lanford of Lexington; grandchildren, Riley Sanderson, Cody Sanderson, Martin Lanford, Jonathan Lanford (Jennifer) and Amber Beels (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Caden and Emily and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her sister, Theresa Lee King (Johnny) of Concord, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness of SC, PO Box 1267, Columbia, SC 29202. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
