Lula Mae Pounds Price

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Lula Mae Pounds Price, 86, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210 or to Harmony Care Hospice, 121 Hunter Village Drive, Irmo, SC 29063.

Mrs. Price was born May 4, 1925 in Lexington, SC and passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011. She was the daughter of Ebert Haskell Pounds and Noluer Smith Pounds. She was a member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church. Mrs. Price retired from Springs Industries – Richland Mill. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Price is survived by her daughters, Patricia P. Fox and Carolyn P. Smith (Earl) all of Lexington; son, Ernest “Mike” Price (Angela) of Leesville; grandchildren, Michelle Reeder, Adam Smith, Courtney Harrell, Josh Smith and great-grandchild, Isabella Reeder. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Ernest C. “Toss” Price and brothers, Richard, William “T” and Fred Pounds.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Asheesh Lal, nurse, Shannon Hallman, the staff of Lexington Oncology and the staff of Harmony Hospice for their special care.
