
LEXINGTON - Martin L. “M.L.” Addy of Lexington, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, January 15, 2015, with his wife and son by his side. M.L. was born October 31, 1943 to the late John Weir and Blache Dooley Addy of Lexington, SC. M.L. graduated from Lexington High School in 1962, and was a member of the S.C. National Guard.
M.L. was a Master Electrician, and was owner of Addy Electric and Heating & Air before retiring from Southern Development Management Co in 2012. He then took up woodturning and woodworking, which became his full time passion and hobby. He and his wife of 34 years shared a love of the low country and would go there as often as possible.
M.L. is survived by his loving wife, Cerilla Steverson Addy; devoted son, Brandon Addy who also shared his love of woodturning. He also leaves behind his beloved grandsons, Machinist Mate 2nd Class, Ashley Jordan Price of Atlanta, Ga. and Security Force Senior Airman, Aaron Justin Price, of Misawa AFB, Misawa, Japan. He also leaves behind a darling great granddaughter, Cheyenne Price of Atlanta, Ga. who he loved very much.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, S.C. 29072 (803)359-6118. Visitation will be held following the service.
M.L. will be greatly missed but remembered by all the people that knew and loved him.
