Mary Preston Goff was born on November 1, 1942, in Columbia SC, to William H. and Claudia Irby Goff. After graduating from Eau Claire High School and attending Midlands Technical College, she married Jimmy Swancey, son of Amos and Blanche Swancey, on March 3, 1962. Mary and Jimmy loved traveling, especially with their precious grandchildren, from Canada to Grand Canyon and all in between, from shrimping and camping at the state parks to hiking the mountains and making priceless memories all across the U.S. She loved entertaining her friends, cooking for her family and enjoyed the simplest pleasures of life. Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, and nurturing Gaga. She was the keeper of secrets, the best giver of hugs and the greatest listener.
