Miriam Sargent Anthony

WEST COLUMBIA - Miriam Ordeñana Sargent Anthony was born in Havana, Cuba September 23, 1929. Miriam passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was the daughter of Alfredo Ordeñana and Dulce Ordeñana Artze. She is survived by her daughters Anne Stone (Allan) of Sandy Run, SC, Dr. Elizabeth Lambert (Tim) of Lexington, SC, Patty Castine (Mike) of Chapin, SC; son, Mark Sargent (Kathy) of Lexington, SC; cousins, Alberto (Al) Alvarez of Columbia, SC and Betty Rodriguez of Miami, FL. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Saint Peter's Catholic Church, 1529 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC. A graveside service will immediately follow at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 W Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Saint Peters Catholic Church 50 Plus Club. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
