After growing up in Walterboro, SC, Becky traveled the world as a military spouse. She was a former co-owner of The Plane Thing (Killeen, TX), worked for American Red Cross (Ft. Devens, MA) and at Bank of America (Columbia, SC). She taught Sunday school and served as the den mother for Cub Scouts for a number of years. Becky was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards and was always up to seeing if slot machines would pay out. She loved to travel, counting her trips to see the Aurora Borealis among her favorite places to visit. She rescued many cats across the many states she lived in.
She is survived by her four children, Jay (Debbie) Capers, Cynthia Lynn Capers, Bill (Shanda) Capers and Rob Capers; sister, Wendy (Wayne) Gaul; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Bob) McBride, Samantha Capers and Ramses Capers; two great-grandchildren, Amelia McBride and Logan McBride. She was predeceased by her former husband, LTC Alexander James Capers.
