

LEXINGTON – A graveside service for Robbie Wilds Bedenbaugh, 88, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday November 24, 2012 at Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery. A Celebration of Life and Fellowship will follow in the church sanctuary. Memorials may be made to Red Bank Baptist Church, 120 Community Drive, Lexington, SC 29073. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Bedenbaugh was born in the Houston Valley area of Tennessee on February 9, 1924 and passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. She was a daughter of the late Jacob Leroy Wilds and Winnie Ray Wilds and widow of the late Jacob C. (Bill) Bedenbaugh. Robbie was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church where she founded, faithfully served and was later named Librarian Emeritus of the church library. She was a liaison volunteer at Lexington Medical Center and also volunteered Lexington Extended Care. Robbie spent a lot of her time volunteering, helping others and loved bird watching and taking care of her flowers. She retired from the University of South Carolina. Known as “Gammy” by her, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; each of them had a “special place in her heart.”
Mrs. Bedenbaugh is survived by her two daughters, Karen B. Parrish (John Wayne) of Lexington and Susan B. Powell (Butch) of Lexington; five grandchildren, Robert A. Powell, Jr. (Jamie), Robyne M. Parrish, Joshua Wilds Powell (Allison), Allison Lee Hill, (Roger) and Lindsay Dixon Bost (Derrick) and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Nuffie Arrington and Phyllis Wilds. She was predeceased by five brothers and one sister. The family would like to extend a special thank you to staff of Crews Point at Lexington Medical Center Extended Care for their loving care.
