GASTON – A memorial service for Ronald Gene Hensley, Sr., 78, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Michael Kennedy officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rapha Residential Care, 3959 Fish Hatchery Road, Gaston, SC 29053.
Mr. Hensley was born November 12, 1932 and passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011. He was a son of the late Louise Easterling and Fred G. Hensley.
Mr. Hensley is survived by his former wife and care giver, Doris Tyler Fain; children, Ronald Gene (Pamela) Hensley, Jr. and Donna Lynn Simoneau; step-children, Michael Mead, Margaret Oswald, Annette Mead, Andrea Bernolfo and David Mead; brothers, Richard and Jon Hensley; sisters, Freddie Keefe, June Mueger, Peggy Burr and Judy Cobb and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Hensley was predeceased by his father; mother and sister, Deloris Oswalt. The family would like to thank Regency Hospice and Rapha Residential Care for all of their love and support.
