Mrs. Rosemary Eileen Brophey Jumper, 82, of Lexington, SC passed away Monday, July 18, 2022. Rosemary was born January 22, 1940 in Wellsville, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Geraldine McLaughlin Brophey and Joseph Kennon Brophey.
Rosemary and her late husband, Harold, were one of the founding families of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lexington, SC. She was the Red Bank Elementary Food Service Manager for over twenty-five years.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Victor Jumper; two brothers, Kenneth Brophey of Port Charlotte, FL, and Thomas Brophey of Wellsville, OH; a grandson, Michael “Bunky” Smith of Lexington, SC.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Michael Jumper (Ginger) of Franklin, North Carolina, Susan Eileen Jumper Smith of Lexington, SC, Joseph Jumper (Debbie) of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren, Vickie French (Shawn), Michael Jumper (Melissa), Benjamin Jumper, Joseph Jumper and Evan Jumper and nine great grandchildren, Mickey, Louise, Hannah Rose, Abby, Phillip, Lydia, Timothy, Alice, and George French. We must also include her favorite great grand dog, Remi.
The family would like to give special thanks to Lexington Medical Center eighth floor oncology nursing staff and dear friends, Donna and Dave Johnston.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Lexington, SC. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Corpus Christi Catholic Church Building Fund.
