Ryan Shelton Burt

WEST COLUMBIA- Ryan Shelton Burt, 26, of West Columbia suddenly passed away in Myrtle Beach while away on vacation on Saturday, May 7, 2016. Ryan was born on June 10, 1989, in Lexington, South Carolina. He graduated from BC High School in 2007, where he played baseball. Ryan played baseball since he was a kid and enjoyed football and NASCAR. Ryan loved his gamecocks, as he naturally looked great in garnet and black. Ryan is survived by his parents Lance and Shelley Burt; his children, Daniel Bolyn, three and Kylie Burt, one; brother, Randy (Danielle) Burt; niece, Kenleigh; uncle, Wynn (Renee) Burt; maternal grandmother, Fern Johnson and paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Burt. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Amber Burt, and his girlfriend, Lauren Hulme and her daughter, Adalyn in which he thought of as his own. Ryan was a member of the Marines and always worked hard. Ryan loved to hunt and fish if you asked him to go he was always ready. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an absolute joy to be around with a contagious smile and the will to make anyone laugh. He never met a stranger. He was a loving son and a fantastic father. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072 with interment to follow in the Taylor Family Cemetery.A visitation will be held Tuesday May 10, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the funeral the family will get together in Ryan’s memory at 140 Indian River Drive, West Columbia, SC 29170. Everyone is welcome.
