LEXINGTON – Sandra “Sandee” Croxton Long, 73, died Monday, August 15, 2016. Born February 10, 1943 in Kershaw, S.C., she was the daughter of the late, Willie Reed Croxton and Joyce Cook Croxton Etter. Upon retirement, Sandee worked for the Lexington County Clerk of Court.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Collins, Rob Long, Jett Jerome, Jenny Kelley and Sarah Council; ten grandchildren, Bill and Steve Collins, Rachel McMillion, Matt and Luke Peaster, Alex, Jennie and Jessie Jerome, and Kelley and Izzy Council; great-grandson, River McMillion; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Rodney Pimental of Lexington, SC, brother-in-law, Richard Rasmussen of Lexington, SC and sister-in-law, Mary Ann and her husband, Bill Aycock of Gastonia, NC. Sandee was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, George L. Long, Jr.
The family will gather on Saturday for a private “Celebration of Life Service”. Contributions in memory of Sandee may be made to Sister Care, PO Box 1029, Columbia, SC 29202. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
