

Sandra Lou McElveen Williams, age 76, of Hartsville, SC quietly and peacefully entered into her eternal rest on October 6, 2022 surrounded by loved ones at Lexington Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Williams was born in Darlington County on October 17, 1945 to James Edward and Ruby Gainey McElveen. She had three siblings: Patricia McElveen Bryant, married to Ray Bryant of Hartsville, Edna Mae McElveen, married to Earl McElveen of Hartsville, and Jamie McElveen, married to Kim McElveen of Little River, SC. She was married to Charles Jerry Williams, Sr. for 54 years before his passing. She was a lifelong member of Kelleytown Baptist Church in Hartsville and was a retired church secretary from Antioch Baptist Church, also in Hartsville. Mrs. Williams was known by her family and friends as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had the kindest spirit imaginable and was always there for anyone who ever needed her. Her sparkle and charm will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Williams is predeceased by her husband, Charles J. Williams, Sr. and her sister, Patricia Bryant of Hartsville, SC, and her parents.
She is survived by her children:

· Jim and Charlene Williams Duval of Lexington, SC
She is also survived by her grandchildren:

· Scott and Hope Williams Reynolds of Charleston, SC
· Ryan and Sarah Williams Craven of Charleston, SC
· Anthony and Tabitha McRae Williams of Karns, TN
· Stacy and Kelly Williams Gillispie of Sevierville, TN
· Chris and Danielle Sanders Williams of Jacksonville, FL
· Adam and Casey Scroggins Williams of California
· Brandon Williams of Florence, SC
· Luke and Anna Duval Fazzari of Enterprise, AL
In addition, Mrs. Williams was richly blessed with 23.5 great grandchildren and counting!! She also leaves behind her beloved Yorkie, Sawyer, who was ever vigilant at her side, even in the hospital on her last day.
A memorial will be held in Mrs. Williams’ honor on October 22, 2022 at 11 am at the Caughman-Harman Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington, SC with a lunch gathering to follow. Details of the lunch will be announced in detail at the memorial. Your presence at both these events will be greatly appreciated. She will be interned at Westview Memorial in Hartsville, SC at a date to be determined later.
