He was the son of the late Issac Patrick Roberts and Laura Belle Anderson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Oliver Roberts, William Franklin Roberts, Emory Lewis Roberts, and Issac Guerry Roberts; and his sisters, Isabelle Destlo Roberts Smith and Nina Reed Roberts Mallis.
Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. A true patriot, he remained active with fellow veterans throughout his later years, finding joy and pride in the bonds of service.
He is survived by his loving daughters, LaDonna Russell and her husband Ernie Russell, and Thelma Roberts Duncan and her husband Andy Duncan. He was the cherished grandfather of Miranda Roberts (John Hawkins) and the devoted great-grandfather of Nevaeh Maxine Lucas, John Thomas Hawkins, and Skylar Elizabeth Hawkins. He is also lovingly remembered by his extended family, Stacey Franklin (Jared) and her children, Raybon Franklin and Eli Franklin, as well as Kayla Russell.
Thomas traveled widely, both for work and pleasure, and developed a deep love for people everywhere he went. Known for his generosity, his kind spirit, and his wonderful sense of humor, Thomas touched many lives. His greatest joy, however, was always his great-grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Thomas will be remembered as a devoted family man, a proud veteran, and a friend to all. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A private service will be held at a later date.
