Usha Regmi

She shared 58 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Bishwa Raj Regmi, with whom she built a life grounded in love, partnership, and family. She is survived by her beloved son, Anuj Regmi, and her loving daughters, Anuja Regmi Rijal and Alpaja Regmi Sharma. She is also fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law, Sunita Paudyal Regmi, and her sons-in-law, Asim Rijal and Rajendra Sharma Kafle.

A cherished grandmother, Usha found immense joy in her grandchildren—Sanskriti Sharma, Ashlesha Rijal, Anish Rijal, Prisha Regmi, Medha Regmi, and her youngest granddaughter, Amara Regmi, with whom she especially enjoyed playing hide-and-seek, laughing, and sharing simple moments of joy. She is also survived by her grandsons-in-law, Harihar Thapaand Amir Gnyawali.

She is survived by her brothers, Kamlesh Upadhyay, and his wife Phyllis Upadhyay, and Shailesh Upadhyay, and his wife Dixa Upadhyay; one beloved niece, and several nephews in Nepal, the United States, and Australia, as well as numerous cousins in Nepal and the United States who remember her dearly.

Usha was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Sashwat Sharma, whom she carried in her heart always.

Usha Regmi retired 20 years ago as an English teacher, a profession that reflected her love of learning, language, and curiosity about the world. Even in retirement, she remained open to trying new things, recently restarting her passion for crocheting. She delighted in listening to old Hindi songs, watching movies, traveling, cooking creatively, and embracing life with a remarkable zest for living. Known for her great sense of humor, she brought warmth, laughter, and lightness into every room she entered.

Her kindness, resilience, and joyful spirit touched countless lives. She will be remembered not only for her devotion to her family, but also for the way she lived fully, laughed freely, and loved deeply.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Caughman Harman Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel, 503 N. Lake Dr. Lexington, SC 29072.
