Ray was born on July 27, 1950 in Columbia, SC. He was the son of the late Hassel R. and Lois B. McFaddin.
Ray graduated from Dreher High School and immediately enlisted in the US Marine Corps Reserve. He married the love of his life, Pam, in 1984 and they lived on Lake Murray in Ballentine for over 35 years.
Ray is survived by his wife, Pam of Ballentine; a daughter, Jenny McFaddin of Charleston; mother-in-law, Shirley F. Mack of Cayce; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Ronnie Crapps, Sr. of Pelion and sister-in-law, Paula M. Scircle of Lexington. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Ronnie Crapps, Jr. (Lacey), Mackenzie Conyers (Jerry, Sr.) and Morgan Scircle.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment to follow at Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Wally Corley, Pat Simon, Mike Freeman, Austin Freeman, Ronnie Crapps, Jr., Jerry Conyers, Sr. and Jerry Conyers, Jr.
