Amanda Lynn Collins, 37, of Brookville, died Monday, March 11, 2019, at Fort Hamilton Hospital, Hamilton, Ohio.
Amanda was born in Oxford, Ohio, September 1, 1981, to Brian D. and Teresa Berry Harvey. In 2000, she graduated from Union County High School. She had attended health careers class at the Connersville Area Vocational School and studied nursing at Ivy Tech. Amanda took great pride in caring for the elderly while working in area nursing homes. She attended the River of Life Worship Center in Liberty. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing softball and listening to all types of music.
Amanda is survived by her mother: Teresa Harvey of McGonigle, Ohio; her husband: Jonathan D. Collins, Sr. of Brookville; her children: Alexis Stevens of Oxford, Ohio; Noah Snodderly of West College Corner; Gracie Wolf of Liberty; Jonathan D. Collins, Jr. and Seth Collins, both of Brookville; her brothers: Brad D. Harvey of Oxford, Ohio; Chuck Berry, Jr. of Liberty; her paternal grandmother: Barbara Harvey of Cottage Grove; two nephews: Brison and Brian Harvey.
She was preceded in death by her father, her paternal grandfather: Jerry L. Harvey; her maternal grandparents: Billy Van and V. Lucille Berry; and a cousin: Thomas L. Harvey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Monday until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home to help defray the funeral expense.
