Mary L. Clark, 83, of West College Corner, went to meet her Lord and Savior, Sunday morning, January 21, 2018, at The Knolls of Oxford in Oxford, Ohio. Mary was born in West College Corner on April 19, 1934 to James K. and Allene K. Chalfant. In 1952, she graduated from Union High School in West College Corner. Mary was married to Rex D. Clark on July 3, 1954 and they relocated to Roswell, New Mexico where he was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. Mary was employed throughout her husband’s military career at locations in Ohio, Japan, Texas, California, Colorado and Washington. She received the Outstanding Civilian of the Year Award from Beale Air Force Base, California, in 1983. In 1979, Mary graduated from the Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was a member of the College Corner Church of the Nazarene and was widely known as a “prayer warrior” throughout the community. Mary was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. Mary is survived by her son: James Kevin Clark of Sacramento, California and a host of friends in her church and community. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of over sixty years and her sister, Marjorie L. Cooper. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Trinity Holiness Church, 202 Indiana Street, West College Corner, Indiana, with Rev. Randy Gentry officiating. Interment will follow in College Corner Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church from 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the College Corner Church of the Nazarene.
