

Carolyn Auvray Wright, age 70, of Independence, MO, passed away on 10/15/2021. She was born to parents “Jack” John Albert Zitting and Allene LaVon Rowe Zitting, on 12/05/1950 in Wenatchee, Washington.
Carolyn graduated from Pullman High School in 1969 and with Honor Cords. She took many art classes and was always being complimented on her drawings. She went to BYU for 2 years and took classes in Interior Design. Carolyn married Thomas deDecker on July 3, 1973 in Wenatchee, Washington and was blessed with four children: Jason DeDecker, Alyson Dix, Shauna DeDecker, and Dustin DeDecker. They were married for 15 years.
Carolyn worked at Farmers Insurance for a number of years and enjoyed her friendships and achievements there. She was known for being able to overcome obstacles, her strong work ethic, willingness to contribute, and her never give up attitude. She enjoyed learning about and creating beautiful works of art. She was happiest visiting the Kansas City Art Museum and enjoying God’s creations in nature. She also enjoyed sewing, healthy cooking, and personal enrichment. Carolyn was a woman of faith and believed strongly that Christ was her Savior.
Carolyn is survived by JP DeCuire (Spouse: Julie & children), Dustin DeDecker (Fiance: Tho), Shauna DeDecker (Significant Other: Andy, & children: Serenity, Kyler, & Victoria), Alyson Dix (Spouse: Michael & children: Christopher, Joseph, Gabriel, Christian, Sophie, Micah, Violet, Ari). Carolyn is also survived by siblings Debra Jay, Steve Zitting, Marsha Nelson, and Jamie Zitting.
She was preceded in death by Jason DeDecker (son), Michael Zitting (brother), Jack & Allene Zitting (parents).
