Danny was born April 7, 1954 to Warren and Dolly Bass. He graduated from high school and enlisted in the National Guard, where he was part of the Army Corps of Engineers. Danny ran dump trucks, then was transferred into Company Jeep Commander. After his discharge from the military, Danny worked in maintenance and repair and property management. He was very mechanically inclined and could fix almost anything.
Danny, or “Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky,” was an easy-going, kind man, who never had a harsh word for anyone. If you were family or a friend, he had your back through anything. He was supportive and believed in people, helping them whenever possible. Danny loved cats and always had a feline companion. He also enjoyed collecting trains and models.
He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Eugene Bass; his mother, Dolly Mae Summerfield; his siblings, Kathryn Newman, Velma Sue Bass, Martha Bass, George Bass, and an infant sister.
Danny is survived by his sister, Lisa Vansel; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
