Debra Fay “Debbie” Summers, 66, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away February 8th. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am, Saturday, February 12th, with funeral services at 11:00am all at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, 119 E Franklin St., Liberty, MO 64068.
Debbie was born March 27, 1955 in Carthage, MO to Herbert Floyd and Lena Florence (Smith) Evans. She graduated from Carthage Senior High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Engineering from Missouri Southern State University. Debbie married the love of her life, Lance Summers on June 7, 1975. They raised their family in the Kansas City area.
She enjoyed quilting, crafting, gardening, music, and spending time with her family – especially her beloved grandbabies. She loved watching sci-fi and fantasy movies. Debbie was a member of the Quilter’s Guild of Kansas City. She enjoyed comic books, especially the Marvel universe.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lena Evans; and her sister, Nancy Florene Hood.
She is survived by her husband, Lance Summers; her sons, Christopher Lance Summers (Candice Rene), and SFC Joshua Summers (Sheri); her grandchildren, Evan Joseph, Caleb Anthony, Ariana Fatema, and Alexander Hossein Summers; as well as other relatives and friends.
