

Finis Perry Dorsey, 86, Liberty Mo., passed on to Glory February 15, 2017, at his home. Visitation at 11 am with services following at 12 Noon; Saturday February 25th 2017 at Liberty Christian Church 427 E. Kansas St. Liberty, Mo. 64068; burial in New Hope Cemetery, Liberty, Mo. Mr. Dorsey was born October 21, 1930, in Liberty, Mo. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge. He worked for Liberty School District until retirement. He also, worked for Bruening investment. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Dorothy Ann Dorsey; his father John Dorsey; his mother Ella Lewis Dorsey; one sister Aileen Dorsey Holman; two brother Sherman Dorsey of Liberty, Leo Dorsey of Kansas City, Mo.; two children Harold Dorsey (1999); Venita Dorsey (1998). He is survived by three daughters, Pamila Carroll of Raytown, Mo.; Denise Dorsey of Liberty, Mo.; Donna Dorsey of Liberty, Mo.; four sons, Finis Dorsey Jr. (Lisa Dorsey) of Kearney, Mo.; Gregory Dorsey (Karen Dorsey) of Liberty, Mo.; Bruce Dorsey (Debra Dorsey) of Kansas City, Mo.; Darrin Dorsey of Liberty, Mo.; 24 grand kids, 32 great grand kids and 1 great- great grandchild. (Arrangements: Church-Archer- Pasley Funeral H., Liberty, Mo) Finis Perry Dorsey was born October 21, 1930 to John and Ella Dorsey. He was a lifelong resident of Liberty, Mo. Finis departed his life in his home on Wednesday February 15, 2017. Finis gave is life to Christ at a early age. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Liberty, Mo. Finis Graduated from Garrison Senior High School in May 4, 1948. Finis was united in marriage of 50 years to Dorothy Ann (Harris) Dorsey on April 9, 1951, to this union was (9) children. Finis was a loving and caring person of God, there was always a smile on his face regardless the situation. The scripture James 1:19 reminds us of him: "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath" Finis always had time to hear your problems and to help you come to a solution, when he spoke to you, you know you're getting wise advise, he was slow to anger because he was a patient man of God. Finis loved doing lawn and gardening, but his passion was fishing. He leaves a multitude of family and friends to mourn his passing.
