My connections with the Lies family are many.  I worked with Frank at Farmland for many years, was in the year long management class with Gina & Frank. Christine worked for me for a short time and Carol was our realtor when we sold our old house and bought our new one. My condolences to the entire family. RIP, Frank.

I started my career with Trinity logistics where I met Frank.  Trinity became my family away from home. I will never forget any of the time spent with Frank.  He would push you to be your best and to challenge yourself. One of the things I remember best about Frank is our conversations. Whether they were in passing or sitting down to chat, Frank always made time. I’ll always remember talking about life, finances and buying cars. 
May you all find peace in this difficult time.

I was very fortunate to not only have a father-son relationship with you but to also have a true friendship.
We had a lot of fun and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Frank was one of my favorite colleagues at Farmland.   We were in the same year-long management development class at the company and it was a joy to work with Frank and the others in the class. We had a fun group.  (Several practical jokers in the class who could bring out Frank’s contagious laughter). He was one of the best.   Thoughts and prayers for his family.   God bless.  

I am Carl Simons’ daughter, kinda have lost touch with the family over the years.

I remember Franks’ convertible, I think it was red . We were teenagers and they lived on the north side of Wichita , he gave us a ride .  I thought he was so cool!!

Frank was an awesome boss.  I met Frank back in 1989 when I started working for Farmland Industries.  I remember him calling me over to introduce me to his wife Carol when we were down at the warehouse on Front Street.  Probably just to let Carol know that Kim was a man he worked with and not a woman.   I remember him calling me into his office, to let me know two gentlemen were coming down from Corporate to offer me a job, and I might want to look at it with an open mind.  So I asked him, either take the job or take the job!  He was instrumental in giving me the chance to move up the Corporate Ladder.  I really appreciated his friendship.  He loved his job and took care of his people.  He will be missed!  My thoughts and prayers go out to Carol and family.

I am sadden to hear of the loss of a "Farmland family" member.  Even though I didn't see Frank, I spoke with him on the phone quite often and he was always very helpful with my questions whenever I called him.

I started working at Farmland as a 20 year old in 1976 for Mr. Bill Rincker. Frank reported to him. Frank, Earl Matthews and I used to go to In-a-tub occasionally for lunch. Frank was so nice to me and through my 34 years of working for the coop system, I had many occasions to work with Frank. He was always, my friend, and a great person to have worked with for so many years. I am on vacation and will not be back for visitation or funeral and my heartaches about it. My prayers for all the family.
