Margo Michelle Mendenhall Stotts

Margo M. Stotts, 44, of Kansas City, MO, went to be held in the palm of the Father’s hand, August 30, 2014. Born July 10th, 1970, in Kansas City, MO, of Kenneth and Betty Mendenhall. Margo was diagnosed with an aggressive unmerciful cancer called Lieomyosarcoma. Margo fought with everything she had to overcome this short battle of only nine months. Margo never let cancer define her; she still remained a loving mother, wife, sister, and daughter. Margo graduated from North Kansas City High School and worked very hard her whole life, most recently at Our Lady of Mercy Country Home, where she was loved and so happy. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; mother-in-law, Patsy Stotts; and brother, Kenneth Mendenhall. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Robert Stotts and daughters, Autumn and Ashton of the home. Parents, Kenneth and Betty Mendenhall of Higginsville, MO; Father-in-law, Dave Stotts of Claycomo, MO; Sisters, Marsha (Mike) Mendenhall of Ft. Lupton, CO and Mary (Sean) Vaughan of Kansas City, MO; Brother-in-law, Steve Stotts; Nieces, Shalaine (Tom) Mathis, Nina and Ava, and Kayla Stotts. Nephews, David (Kim) Vaughan , Trenton, Emma, Elyn; Jerrod (Amy)Vaughan, Kenneth, Stella, and Savanna; Great-Nephew, Oxley, and many family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at 7:00pm, at the Our Lady of Mercy Country Home, 2115 Maturana Drive, Liberty, MO. Burial will be Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11:00a.m., at the Corder Calvary Cemetery, Corder, MO. The family is very grateful to Dr. VanTine who tried everything, even experimental drugs at Barnes Jewish Hospital. Dr. Stoddard at North Kansas City Hospital for keeping her comfortable and pain free. To Sister Victoria Egues and Sister Sandra Thibodeaux for their constant love and prayers. And a special thanks to Fran Bayless for taking care of our Dad. Finally the Northcare Hospice House, for all the care. The family suggests memorial contributions to Our Lady of Mercy Country Home.
