Martha Nell Skaggs

Martha graduated from Davenport High School in Oklahoma in 1963. On October 16, 1965. She married Bobby Skaggs in Bristow, Oklahoma. Together, they had two children, Gene and Karen. Martha leaves behind a daughter, Karen Tuttle, and husband David Tuttle, of Kansas City. She was known as Mom to Susanne Galetka of Glen Flora, Wisconsin, for over 30 years. She leaves behind her grandchildren, her pride and joy. Jordyn and husband Nathan Andersen, of Kansas City, Missouri, Justin Tuttle of Kansas City, Missouri, and Tiffany Skaggs, of Bristow, Oklahoma. A sister, Sharon Bensley of Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Many nieces and nephews, with special mentions to David and Donna Frazier of San Benito, Texas, Edward Frazier of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Edwina and Stephen Watkins, Pryor, Oklahoma, and Nova Bensley, whose little stories kept a smile on Martha’s face.

Martha retired from the Liberty Public School system, Liberty, MO, in 2017. Martha had strong faith in God and a beautiful soul. She always had a gift in teaching others to always look for the good in life and in others. She spent most of her life helping the less fortunate. Her compassion for others was extraordinary, and it showed in the lives she changed through the years. From September 3, 2025, to December 7th, she kept her grace and positivity. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby Skaggs, son Gene Skaggs, and granddaughter April Nicole Woodard.

A special honorary mention goes to John and Myra Barker of Lawson, MO, for their continuous compassion, kindness, and comfort during a hard time. These special souls are Angels here on Earth, who kept making a difference on a daily basis, and a heartfelt thank you to Tyler from above, for allowing this gift to make a difference.
