Mary Ann Miller

Mary Ann Miller (McDaniel), 84, of Liberty, Missouri died on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. A visitation for Mary Ann will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1130 North Clayview Drive, Liberty, MO 64068. A celebration of life will follow from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Burial will occur at New Hope Cemetery in Liberty, Missouri at the conclusion of the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to Missionary Fund at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1130 Clayview Drive, Liberty Missouri 64068.

Mary Ann was born on September 13, 1938 in Elmira, Ray County, Missouri, to Howard and Frances McDaniel (McKinney). She was a graduate of Excelsior Springs High School class of 1955. On October 10, 1957, she married Guy Eugene Miller in Gladstone, Missouri. Mary Ann was proud to be a homemaker and raised their five children in Liberty.

Mary Ann was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many capacities: teacher, librarian and cub scout leader. She and Guy served as ordinance workers for 4 years in the St. Louis, Missouri Temple, and Mary Ann served as an ordinance worker in the Kansas City, Missouri Temple for 7 years. Guy and Mary Ann also delivered Meals on Wheels for many years, taking numerous grandchildren to help with deliveries.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Guy; a granddaughter; her parents; two sisters; and four brothers.

Survivors include Mary Ann's five children: Dennies Miller and wife Lisa of Shreveport, Louisiana, Debra Lunnen and husband Rob of Liberty, Missouri, Randy Miller and wife Tamara of Cameron, Missouri, Gary Miller and wife Shannon of Pueblo, Colorado, and Deanna McCracken and husband Larry of Drexel, Missouri; one sister, Joyce Marrant of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
