Ann Suggs Trotter

Ann was a 1970 graduate of Eastern Randolph High School. She will be fondly remembered in the community as the manager of the Climax General Store.

She was the daughter of the late Jack and Lois Frazier Suggs; and was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kourtney Moore and brothers, Bill and Eddie Suggs.

Ann is survived by her husband of 54 years, Michael A. Trotter, Sr.; daughter, Kelly Moore (Donald); sons, Brian Trotter (Kim), Michael Trotter, Jr. (Beth); grandchildren, Cody Trotter, Ashley Trotter, Dawson Moore, Abby Trotter, and James Trotter; step-grandchildren, Todd Pike and Jessica Law; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty, 212 W. Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty, NC. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. in The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Liberty, NC.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to The Shannon Gray Rehabilitation and Recovery Center and AuthoraCare Collective for the compassionate care given to Ann while in their care.
