Calahan Mosby Nixon

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 11:30 am at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. A. Brian Harrington, Rev. Dr. Kyles Wallace and Rev. Timothy James officiating.

Along with his parents he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Rochelle Sanders and David Langston; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Barbara Smith Nixon; paternal great-grandparents Willard Eugene “Gene” Smith and Bobby Gene Nixon and Margaret Bowman Nixon; Aunt Davida Langston, Uncle Jason Levi Powers and Uncle David Willard Powers.

Although Calahan did not have to suffer with cancer, this cause is very dear to our hearts; please consider making a memorial contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Our family expresses to this great community our most heartwarming thank you for all the words of encouragement and gracious acts of kindness shown to us during this time.

We will never forget the best care we could have ever imagined from the nurses at Women’s Hospital. We would especially like to recognize nurses, Melissa Wilkins, Caroline Jones, Paige Grady, Dawn Nelson and Betsy Chena and Dr. Mark Anderson and Dr. Kendra Ross.
