Carolyn Diane Brooks Alston

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Edwards Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 214 South Foster Street, Liberty, NC. The family will receive friends before the service from 12:30 pm until 1:00 pm at the church.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lacy Ivory and Alberta Andrews Brooks; brother, Reuben Brooks.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, George Alston; daughter Linda Spinks and husband Reginald; son, Doug Alston and wife Jamie; goddaughter, Kia Brown; granddaughters, Camille Alston, Leah Switzer; grandsons, Gabriel Alston, Scotty Switzer and wife Jessie, Jacob Switzer; sisters, Mary Vaughn, Marjorie Gales; brother, James I. Brooks.
