Charlie was born in Chatham County, NC to Millard and Annie Lula Hicks Maness on March 24, 1940.
He spent most of his life as a loader operator in the construction industry. Charlie enjoyed making pork sausage for family and friends, fishing, gardening and hunting.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillie Mae Lineberry Maness, daughters; Patricia (Kenneth) Barrington of Burlington, Janice (Brookie) Wyrick of McLeansville, Elizabeth (William) Everett of Williamston; sons; Charlie Thomas (Debbie) Maness of Liberty, Gary Leon (Wanda) Maness of Liberty, Harold Dean Maness of Franklinville; brothers; Tom Maness of Snow Camp, Junior Millard Maness of Siler City; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters; Margaret, Lessie, Doris, Eula and 4 brothers; James, Earl, Gurney and JC Maness.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM with a visitation one hour prior to service from 12:00-1:00 PM at Loflin Funeral Home. The family will also meet other times at the Maness home.
