Born December 1, 1987 in Greensboro he was the son of Donald M. Carter, Jr. and Catherine Schroeder Carter. David was a graduate of Eastern Randolph High School where he participated with the swim team and played in the band. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Salisbury.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Mary Beth Carter Walker and husband, Matt and their new born infant boy, Jackson Morris Walker of Boone; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, 212 West Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty.
