A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Monnett Road Baptist Church; officiated by Rev. Ron Kimble; burial will follow in Gilmore Memorial Park.
She was the daughter of the late George Washington and Ora Walker Phillips and was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Vance; son, Richard Allen Vance and two brothers, Raymond Phillips and George Washington Phillips, Jr.
Surviving is her daughter, Mary Garcia of Liberty; sons, Jack D. Vance of Stafford, VA and Joe Michael Vance of Liberty; sister, Carol Butler of Princeton, WV; 6 grandchildren, Stacey, Joseph, David, Kevin, Michael, & Kala and one great-grandchild.
