I just learned of Eddie's passing. I worked with him many years ago when I started my surveying career. My prayers go out to the family for their loss. I really admired Eddie as he taught me a lot during the time I worked with him. May God bless you and your family during this time of loss.

I didnt have the chance to meet personaly to Mr. Edward L. Barber, but even so I think that I already knew him. I knew him because I know Barry, Crystal and Susan... they love to take care of others (just take a look of their professons). I know Carolyn: a strong lady with a huge heart. I dont know Ms. Mary Lee, but I can guess, she is a beautiful lady, source of this loving family. I just can say: you didnt lost a love one; you win an attorney in the Heaven and that s forever. I love you!

I met a few of you at the Greensboro Moose Lodge when Eddie was a member there.  I will always remember his wonderful smile and his " Hello, Hello" everytime he was there.  He was so proud of his family and I know you will miss him very much but I am sure he will be watching over you and still smiling.

I've just returned home for Daddy's service.  Seeing and talking with his friends was great therapy for me.  My Daddy was a very special person. I have comfort in my heart that he died knowing that his family loved him and he loved his family.  Thank you to everyone who came to show their respect for my Daddy.

I didn't know Eddie but my Dad (L.J. Quesenberry) spoke very highly of him often. They worked together at a surveying firm in Hillsville Va. many years ago and had kept in touch. I wish I had met him.

No matter how long I had been away from NC any time I stopped in Kidd's Drive In or anywhere else in Liberty Eddie was the first one to come up and give me a Great Big Hug with a Huge Smile on his face! I don't know that I ever met Mr. Barber, I only knew him through Susan, but I enjoyed all of the family that I met and I am sure that he was as wonderful as the rest of you!  I am thinking about all of you and I send my support and love your way!

Janis & I want to express our sincere sorrow for your loss.  We have all lost a good friend.  I met Eddie in 1984 when I moved to Greensboro and I can safely say he was one of the smartest and hardest working surveyors I have ever met.   His work ethic set a standard for us all.  I know he will be missed by his family, his colleagues and me.

Eddie was a great teacher and co-worker but best of all a friend. I never met anyone who did not love and respect him. May you find peace in this time of sorrow
