My family was always in Faye's home when I was growing up. Her parents were the best and loved by the community. Faye and her sister were so wonderful to me. I cherish those sweet times. Faye was a true Christian in every aspect. Now she gets her reward.

Faye was my mentor and guide as a teenager and was always available for firm Christian advise to the many teenagers as we struggled through life in the late 50’s. She was a loving, kind, giving Christ like example to us.  Saturday night was always spent with Miss Faye and Youth for Christ. Thank you Lord for giving us Miss Faye

Mr. and Mrs. Smith were faithful and involved members of Faithway Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC  for many years. After her husband passed away, Faye continued to serve in the choir, and regaled us with stories of her and Odell travelling the USA in an RV. She loved to recall her times teaching at Faith Christian School in Ramseur, and directing the choir in the church too. 
Faye was a 'hugger', and found it necessary to go collect her 'hugs' before she left our church . The COVID-19 virus really messed that up for her in the last year of her life.
She was a real trooper, a Tarheel to the bone - as witnessed by her UNC- blue car, and even planning to be buried in a Tarheel- blue casket!
She was much loved, and will be greatly missed. The comfort is that we who know Christ will end up singing in the heavenly choir in the future [she will not be leading it].

Prayers for your family from the Monnett and Reynolds families. Faye was such a wonderful lady and always made everyone feel special. Loved seeing her at the Garrett reunions.

Family......I just wanted to leave a note of thanks......54 years ago.....yes I know I am an old guy.....Miss Corsbie......was my third grade teacher at Pleasant Garden Elementary......it was a very important year for me.....although I didn't know it at the time......she taught me cursive......and a lot of other things.....like how to be a better person.....and I saw her obit and knew it was her.....even after all these years......I have been a funeral director for the last 44 years...and I wish I could be there to honor her......she was a great teacher and a better person.......thanks "Miss Corsbie"!!! Mrs Faye was a wonderful Christian lady , that I was proud to have known, 
Each time we met in church she loved to share with me how much she loved her husband and family ! 
Love the collections of cook books she would share,
She had a lot of love for everyone! 
My heartfelt prayers go out to all the family , 

Faye was a dear saint.  I was just looking at the cookbooks I have that she compiled of her recipes and there are some good ones. My sympathy to the family. She thought the world of my late husband Paul Shepherd.

I thank God for this very special and sweet lady.  I can thank her for having so much to do with my salvation in Christ.  When I was little and lived down the road from the Corsbie home, she had neighborhood children in on Sunday for Bible School type lessons and fun.  Later she carried me, along with many other locals, to Youth For Christ meetings on Saturday night.  It was there I received Christ.  No better woman ever lived, in my mind, as Faye.  She had a tremendous impact on many, many young people.  Thank You God for her life and legacy.  Taylor Sheppard
