Mr. George Walter "Bud" Brown

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 30 at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Jim Allred and Rev. Michael Barrett; burial will follow in Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty.

Bud is the son of the late Hardin Walter and Girthia Coble Brown and was also preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Walter Brown and Jerry Allen Brown; one sister, Ruby Ann Brown and one brother, Roger David Brown.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Connie King Brown; daughter, Dawn Brown Still and her husband, Scott; grandchildren, Tyler Brown, Hunter Still, Brooke Williams, and Sierra Still; brother, James Danny Brown; daughter-in-law, Ellen Wells Brown; mother-in-law, Lucille Adams King and a host of other family members.

The family would like to express their most heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Keith Clance and the Pulmonary Department at LaBauer Healthcare and to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro for the care given to Bud during his illness.
