George Thomas York

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 2 at 11 a.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty.

George was the son of the late Jeter Washington and Carrie York and was also preceded in death by one brother, Frank York.

Surviving is his wife, Clearl Humble York; daughter, Wanda Davis and husband, Scott of Liberty; sons, Tom York and wife, Sylvia of Liberty, David York and wife, Theresa of Charlotte; grandchildren, Elisabeth York Bernhardt, Adam York, Chad Davis, Whitney York, Jeremy Davis and Matthew York; great-grandchildren, Laurel and Grayson Bernhardt, Whitley York and Layla Davis; sister, Mary Frances York and sister-in-law, Harris Wylie York.
