

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Fairview Cemetery in Liberty. The family will gather and receive friends for a time of visitation at 2:30 pm at Loflin Funeral Home, 212 W. Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty.
Jean was daughter of the late Roy Burns Stutts and Vernelle Maxine Allred Stutts and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Burns Stutts, Terry Stutts and Tommy Stutts.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sisters, Judy Stutts and Nancy Stutts Wheeler; brother, Melvin Stutts; nephew, Brad Stutts, and his wife, Kristina; and niece, Kristen Stutts.
Jean spent many years as a dedicated volunteer at Liberty School and the Bargain Box in Liberty. She also was a long-time member of First Wesleyan Church of Liberty.
The family would like to thank special doctors of Randolph Hospital, Dr. Kumar and Dr. Morgan, the ICU nurses of Randolph Hospital, the nurses of Randolph Hospice House and special caregiver, Suri Eddy for their wonderful care and attention they all gave Jean.
