The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, June 6, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Union United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Union United Methodist Church, 5929 Coble Church Road, Liberty, NC; burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He was the son of the late Max and Jeanette Parhn Pons and was also preceded in death by sisters, Barbara and Lynn Ann and brothers, Max, Jr. and Ralph.
Joe is survived by his wife of 64 years, George Ann Baldree Pons; daughter, Annette Toms (Jerry); son, Joe Pons, Jr. (Jeanelle); sister, Lily; and brothers, Bobby and Kenny.
