Kenneth Leroy Cox

Kenny had been in the nursing home for the past 11 ½ years after living home-bound for many years. He made friends with the staff, patients and visitors which helped with the transition from home.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 690 Shady Grove Church Road, Staley. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.

He was the son of the late Albert Ellis and Ethel Whetstine Cox.

Surviving is his daughter, Karen Cox Phillips (Michael); granddaughter, Whitney Phillips; sister, Judy Miller; nieces, Cathy Gwynn (Charlie) and Monica Greene; and nephew, Jeff Miller (Jeanne).

The family would like to thank the staff of Siler City Center and Community Home Care and Hospice for their compassionate care to Kenny.
