A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 26th, 2024 at 2 p.m. in The Chapel at Tabernacle Methodist Church, 5721 Methodist Rd. Greensboro, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Lynn was the son of the late William David and Mary Coble Layton.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Kim Layton (Devin) and Alisha Loye; significant other, Sarah Marshall; brother, Max Layton (Elaine); two grandchildren; and two beloved nieces.
Lynn served our country in the Marine Corps Reserve. After his time in the military, he worked for Duke Energy as a Meter Technician for 45 years. He served as a volunteer firefighter at Southeast Volunteer Fire Department for many years, and was also Fire Chief at one time. In his free time, Lynn enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Southeast Hunting Club. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.
