Margie Smith Garrett Reynolds

Margie lived to make people laugh, loved her place at the beach, and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Tabernacle United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. John Woods officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home, Liberty.

Margie was the daughter of the late Wylie and Macy Tuttle Smith and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Garrett; grandson, Jonathon Garrett; daughter-in-law, Kay Garrett; sisters, Alma Harrison, Ora Smith and Nina Smith; and brothers, Ed, Ray, Lucian, Dale and R.J. Smith.

Surviving is her husband, Howard Reynolds; daughter, Joyce Morris and her husband, Alger; son, Michael Garrett; granddaughter, Amanda Griffin and her husband, Josh; great-grandchildren, Riley Clapp, Tilden Griffin and Ellie Griffin; and sister, Janice Catoe.

At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 5721 Methodist Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
