I think of you often, Maxine., and was just telling some friends yesterday about our years working together. 
Keep being a guardian Angel for all those who have loved you.❤️

It’s almost your birthday & I’ve been thinking about you & missing getting a Christmas card from you.

Such an awesome lady. She taught me many things business-wise + what sidemeat & light bread are!🤣. She had a wonderful nephew who took such great care of her. She was funny, provided me with so many laughs about things like Roger’s laundry basket & the Christmas tree she had cut & brought to me one year. 
Blessed to have known her. Love & miss you, Maxine!❤️

Roger and family;  Randall, one of Maxine’s great nephews, (I think)   lived 44 years here on earth. Maxine lived for 88 years here on earth - twice as long as Randall -  and it still does not seem long enough!   But I know that our Lord Jesus is in control and Maxine is strolling that Street of Gold!  Our loss is Heaven’s gain!  Maxine was a very special lady.  She loved everyone. She was feisty and to the point and what a great tribute to her!   She really helped people wherever and whenever  she could in many, many ways. I will always cherish the memory of her. Please accept  my deepest condolences to you and your family because I know what a great connection you all shared and Maxine was a blessed lady  to have you and your family in her life. It’s heartbreaking to find out that the world has lost such an amazing, strong, smart, beautiful soul. 
I worked with Maxine in the ‘70’s & ‘80’s. That was my first “real” full time job. She taught me virtually EVERYTHING about working & even had to teach me what “light bread” & “a streak of lean” was!  She said I was a bit too 
city-fied🤗. 
Every day at 3:00 she’d send me up to the Krispy Kreme to get us a Coke (and occasional doughnut) and she’d take one aspirin with her Coke!  
For a while I spent Thursday nights with her when Roger would go home & she just laughed the next morning after I had come in a bit late. 
I have the best memories of laughing with her over the craziest things, like when she mistakenly dropped something of hers into Roger’s dirty clothes he was taking home on a Thursday - she hadn’t intended for her mom to find the 
wayward item!
But most of all I remember her not being afraid to speak the truth all the time, and being so very good to me. I really loved her for that & pray I can be enough like her to see her again one day.

She was a dear, kind and caring friend for many years.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family.  We will sincerely miss this wonderful lady. 

My sweet Aunt Max... when I think of her, I have so many great and special memories. She holds a special place in my heart... she has always been like a second mom to all of us. I used to love going to her house when I was small and playing dress up in all of her beautiful scarves and accessories....she was always so fashionable! And our breakfast of orange cinnamon rolls...and always wanting to go to Bonnie Kay's for Seafood! As I got older we would hit the Four Season's Mall quite a bit and ride around Greensboro exploring restaurants and shops! I always had so much fun with her:)))Spending the night with her was such a treat! My mom and I would do girl's weekends and have a blast! She always loved her coffee:)...with everything. Lol:) She was feisty, funny, sweet, and kind and this world has lost a Wonderful Woman...but Heaven has gained a Beautiful Soul and I can't wait to see her again. She will be greatly missed....but I have  such sweet and wonderful memories with her that I will cherish always.  I love you Aunt Max and miss you much. Xoxo, Sonya

Max was truly a special lady.  She was independent, fashionable and navigated the streets of Greensboro like a woman on a mission.  I cherish our times together and all my sweet memories.  As a little girl, I would watch her do "her chores," and she would give me a dabble of night cream and let me use her lip balm.  I always wanted to watch her put on her makeup.  When we would go to K&W, she would say, "Angelo, make sure your eyes are not bigger than your stomach."  When I was in high school, college and throughout my 20's, I would visit her often, and we enjoyed our morning coffee, hot Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and essentially anything related to shopping and dining.  We had so many great conversations around her kitchen table.  She frequently gave me dress clothes she bought on sale, and I still wear some of my Aunt Max Specials.  I can hear her saying, "Angelo, you'd better be ready to go when I get back from gettin' my hair fixed!"  I loved her sassy candor and huge heart.  After getting married and starting a family, my son and daughter also loved Aunt Max.  She accompanied us on several mountain trips, but she never enjoyed the steep trek up the mountain.  Luke would say, "I think Max is scared."  She never forgot birthdays and always remembered that Eric loved Cinnabon's.  I will miss her passion and presence on this Earth, but I am comforted to know I will see her again in Heaven.  I can't imagine the joy she is experiencing now.  Goodbye, Maxie - you were a wonderful Aunt and such a special friend to many.  I love you!!  Angelia

Aunt Max, was always a part of my life since I was a baby. I grew up loving to be with her every chance I got. We would take trips, go shopping,  or just hang out talking. I knew I could always share my heart with her, my last best memory was taking a trip to the mountains in October, we had a cabin full , she  seemed to feel so good and had the best time, I remember thinking would this be the last time everyone would be together, what a blessed time , what a beautiful memory. Aunt Max loved God, her church, all her family, friends and, anyone who needed a helping hand, as they say, our loss is heavens gain! Love you, Linda Gail
