

Nellie had an abundance of love for her family and friends and welcomed many into her home. She enjoyed sharing her love for God and the Bible with everyone. Nellie was a devoted wife and mother not only to her biological children but to many others as well.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, 212 W. Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty, NC; burial will follow in Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian, NC. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Nellie was the daughter of the late Robert and Verna Alice Edwards Ingle and was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. Temkey; daughter, Donna Ann Wicker and husband Lester Max Wicker; sisters, Beatrice Crawley, Edith Belcher and Rachel Hill; and brothers, Albert Ingle and Claude Ingle.
Nellie is survived by her sons, Thomas Dwayne Temkey, Keith Eugene Temkey, Randy Lee Temkey, and her daughter, Annette Michelle Temkey (Michael Hennekam); grandchildren, Angela Mullens, Debbie Wicker, Barbara Gaston, Timothy Temkey, Bobby Temkey, Michelle Rea, Matthew Lash, Brandon Temkey and Marissa Temkey; and 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren, and many other extended family members.
