Thomas Patrick Goodson

Thomas "Pat" Goodson passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at the AuthoraCare Collective Hospice Home in Burlington after declining health for several months. He was one month shy of his 81st birthday.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Pat was born in Harlingen, Texas in 1945 to the late Thomas Bryan and Irma Lacey Goodson who resided for years on Pond Road, Alamance, NC.

Pat is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sybil, along with three children, Kyle (Karen) of Elon, Amber (Chris) of Raleigh and Nathan (Gretchen) of Burlington; a bonus daughter, Alexis Cacchione; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three siblings, Mike Goodson (Teresa) and Robert Goodson of High Point and Teresa Vandegrift (Ken) of Gibsonville; and his beloved four legged companion, "Nippy".

Pat was a very accomplished musician and artist. He worked for years at AC Corporation in Greensboro as a welder and fabricator. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
