Ben E Johnson born on May 1, 1967 in Phoenix, Arizona living in Deerfield Beach, Florida he passed away on October 10, 2024. He is survived by his father Ed Johnson, mother Kathleen Johnson, aunt Janet Jungclaus and his loving wife of 17 years, Roya. He leaves behind his Dog, Rocky whom he shared a very special bond with, his many cats and so very many friends.
Ben was hard working and worked as a deep-sea tanker man. His knowledge and professionalism were known in the industry and his dedication legendary. He was an honest, loving, caring, compassionate and a humble man. He was an inventor and a visionary. He was a deep thinker and a philosopher. He was well traveled and just a fun guy to be around.
He loved his long drives in the morning with Rocky. Loved to watch the sunrise, a great cup of coffee, cleaning the house, watching science fiction shows on the tv, a delicious meal, a stiff drink, his popsicles and going to bed early. He was a great listener and will be missed greatly by so many, for he truly touched everyone’s life and heart.
A celebration of life will be held for him at horizon funeral home at 4650 N. Federal Highway Lighthouse Point, Florida on October 18, 2024, from 1-3. For as much as he loved flowers, in lieu of flowers please donate to any animal advocate group of your choosing in his name. If attending, please bring a favorite photo you would like to leave behind. And please dress casual for he was a simple man, and he hated dressing up. He would totally get a kick out of that and would say finally.
He may have left this world and us broken hearted over his loss, but he will always be remembered with a smile and a kind word. His presence will be missed everywhere. But his spirit will live in all of us.
